MANNING VALLEY PETITION AGAINST RAIL CUTS HANDED OVER
A petition against proposed cuts to rail staff at train stations on the mid north coast, has reached more than 2000 signatures.
Concerns residents today delivered the petition to Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead, calling on the Baird Government to abandon the plan.
“I think it’s sending a message to the NSW Government and Trainlink that they are the people that don’t want their services cut, they want a service they can go to rely on,” said resident Barry Seghers.
Mr Bromhead says he’ll refer the petition to the Transport Minister, but is adamant the cuts WON’T affect rail workers in Taree.
