Police are searching for two men after an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery in Hope Island on the Gold Coast early today.
The men first tried to break into a service station on Broadwater Avenue about 12.20am, but were unsuccessful.
They then targeted another service station on the same street about 12.40am, threatening a male worker with a knife and then fleeing with money and cigarettes.
The worker was not injured.
Both men are described as Caucasian and aged in their late teens to early 20s.
One of the men is about 177cm tall with a medium build, and was wearing a black jacket with a large white Nike tick and blue shorts at the time of the robbery.
The other was wearing a black and white checked hooded jumper and was carrying a Nike bag.
Police investigations are continuing.
