SYDNEY ESCAPEE MAY BE HIDING OUT ON THE CENTRAL COAST

Police believe a man who escaped custody in Sydney last week, may be hiding out on the Central Coast.

At about 9:30 on Friday morning, police arrested 29-year-old Maxim Koopelain on the Princes Highway at Kirrawee in Sydney.

During the arrest, Koopelian managed to escape and allegedly stole a red 1999-model Toyota Corolla sedan, with registration plates ELC-003.

Mr Koopelain is described as being of South American appearance, about 170-180cm tall, with a medium build, an olive complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue short-sleeved shirt with ‘Shire PTC’ written on the front, black shorts and Adidas joggers.

Police believe the alleged offender could be heading to Wadalba on the Central Coast, anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact them immediately.

  1. This man is a pedophile listed on the national sex offenders website. This is the reason he is on the run. Why is this not made public so people can put more of an effort to look. Does not seem like we can rely on the police.
