UNIVERSITY CBD SITE MILESTONE CAUSES TRAFFIC HEADACHES

The University of Newcastle has celebrated a milestone in the construction of its new CBD campus.

Hunter Street was reduced to two lanes for much of the day, while a 100-tonne steel cube was bolted onto the side of the building.

    It was a preview of hunter st with a light rail running down the middle of it.
    Those numpties making decisions need to extract their heads from their own rear ends and do something that make sense.
    Yes we all know they want to let their developer mates build on the rail corridor so they will cause havoc in hunter st.
    So let them build on the corridor but over the light rail as they have done in Sydney.
