WOMAN CHARGED OVER KNOCKROW CRASH IN 2015

A 67-year-old woman has been charged with several driving offences, following a crash near Ballina last year.

The Iluka woman was driving south along the Pacific Highway at Knockrow on August 5, when her sedan collided head-on with a van.

The driver of the van required surgery for a fractured wrist, while the 67-year-old was trapped in her car for an hour and received fractures to her right arm and leg.

Her two passengers escaped with minor injuries.

The woman’s now been charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and not keeping left of the dividing line.

She’s due to face Ballina Local Court next month.
