CLIMATE DEMO IN COFFS OUTSIDE HARTSUYKER’S OFFICE

Climate change activists have wasted no time reminding the Federal Member
for Cowper Luke Hartsuyker about the new Paris deal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Applying some early pressure on the Nationals MP, more than a dozen adults and children rolled out bunk beds on the footpath outside his Coffs Harbour office.

“Well he’s been pretty quiet on climate change, that’s why we’re here to wake him up, we’re saying he’s been asleep on climate change and it’s time to wake up,” said Coffs Coast Climate Action Group spokesperson Liisa Rusanen.

Mr Hartsuyker released a statement saying his government’s policies would address climate change without trashing the economy or pushing up power prices.
