TASKFORCE TO TACKLE LAND USE CONFLICTS
The state government is developing a specialist taskforce to resolve land use conflicts between those in the mining, coal seam gas and agriculture sectors.
The site of two proposed coal mines, the Liverpool Plains will be used as a case study for the group.
The taskforce will be made up of a number of departments including the Department of Premier and Cabinet, as well as the Office of Environment and Heritage.
Local councils and community groups will also be called on for input.
