25 HUNTER GO KART WORKERS UNDERPAID

25 workers at three Go-Kart Tracks in the Hunter will be re-imbursed more than $30,000, after an investigation by the Fair Work Ombudsman found they were underpaid.

The anomalies occured between July 1, 2010 and November 16, 2014.

Fair Work found the company inadvertently failed to pay correct casual loadings and penalty rates and also found issues with the company’s record keeping.

The company has been ordered to upgrade its compliance processes and engage an external accountant to audit its payroll.

Go-Karts-Go has apologised for the contraventions and expressed its “sincere regret” over the matter.
