Seven people are confirmed to have died in a helicopter crash at Fox Glacier on the South Island of New Zealand.
Police say the recovery may take days as poor weather conditions initially slowed the rescue response, and recovery teams have been unable to reach the wreckage due to the location of the wreckage in a crevasse.
Authorities would not comment on the nationalities of those aboard, but next of kin have been notified.
Fox Glacier is a popular New Zealand tourism site.
Media reports say the helicopter was operated by tourism company Alpine Adventures.
