CENTRAL WINS THE NEWCASTLE WOMEN’S HOCKEY DECIDER

Central has beaten Souths for just the second time this season to win the Newcastle Women’s Premier League hockey grand final, one-nil.
The minor premiers looked dangerous early, Cassidy Gallagher went close.
Before Kaitlin Duck almost put Souths on the board.
The girls in green were creating plenty of chances, with both goalies kept busy.
Kendall Steel and Georgia Sargent put their bodies on the line for the cause.
Steel had a great opportunity to open the scoring for Central after the break.
Eventually it was Morgan Coleman who handed the minor premiers the grand final trophy.
