GAV’S WEATHER: WILD WINTRY WEEKEND, BE PREPARED

Two very wintry days will unfold this weekend.

Saturday will be ahead of the cold snap.

Increased North West winds, cloud will increase with patchy rain and isolated storms particularly in the north with develop.

Overnight the cold air will sweep in across the region making for a very cold windy Sunday.

Sheep grazier warnings have been issued along with gale wind warnings and believe it or not blizzard warnings for the northern ranges as snow is expected to fall down to 700m, 600m for the Hunter.

Winds will be strong enough to cause damage so take care especially on country roads as trees and branches may come down. Also be prepared for possible power outages.
