Some Blacksmiths residents have expressed dismay over the loss of beach access tracks.
It follows dune restoration work, commissioned by Lake Macquarie Council, which has now been vandalised… but locals are adamant they’re not to blame.

From experience it is not a good idea to try and close off tracks. We find the locals will always keep using the original pathway so it is better to work in with them.
