It’s one of the world’s most glamorous sports and today, high school students got an insight into the high-powered world of Formula 1 motor racing.
The Hunter regional finals of the F1 in Schools Technology Challenge attracted around 100 participants, all revved up to hit the race track…
“There’s a whole process involved in what they’re doing today – project design to creaste a really fast car but also a car that presents really well to the judges.”
Like the real thing, there are team names, colours…and a few extra bells and whistles.
“We’re like lights and smoke – let’s do it!”
The top entries will go through to the state finals.
