Opponents Schwager Contracting had the better first half, taking a 2-1 lead.
But the navy blues came home strong, winning five goals to three.
On Saturday night, 18 players were put through their paces in the first round of national team trials.
Tamworth has eight hopefuls, competing against others from Glen Innes, Wee Waa, Scone and Goulburn.
