A teenager is dead and several other people have been injured,
including a 17-year-old P-plate driver, following a two car
collision near Lake Macquarie.
A small sedan and a Ford Falcon collided head-on along the
Esplanade at Eleebana about 10pm yesterday.
The male passenger from one of the cars, believed to be aged in
his late teens, suffered extensive injuries and died at the scene.
Police say the 17-year-old P-plate driver of that car, suffered
a suspected broken jaw and leg injuries and was taken to John
Hunter Hospital for treatment.
